PERSONAL PROFILE:
- My purpose is to express
my willingness to learn, capability to lead and ability to meet goals by being committed to acquiring the most knowledge I
can. I will achieve this by using my developed skills to take control of a situation and by completing all my tasks effectively
and efficiently to maintain my academic standing, be accepted into graduate school, then master my transition into the professional
world.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Covista Communications- 6 months of experience as a Customer
Service Representative. I responded to inbound calls in a prudent and professional manner. Sales, bill processing, problem-solving,
balance inquiries, are all tasks that I handled on a daily basis. Used Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis to communicate
internally with co-workers, and to also communicate with customers when it was needed. Effectiveness
and efficiency was my key to succeeding as a representative within the organization.
EDUCATION:
- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga- Currently pursuing Bachelors
of Science degree from the Health and Human Performance Department. My major is in the area of Sport Administration with a
minor in Business Administration. My cumulative grade point average is 3.936
and my major related grade point average is 4.0. Thus far I have received excellent grades in my courses related to computer
studies and math. Skills I have acquired include (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Data Entry, and Statistical
Problem solving).
- Middle Tennessee State University- I am transferring to MTSU
to continue my education in Recreation Administration program in the fall of 2010. Upon graduation from MTSU I would like
to attend graduate school to attain my Masters degree in the area of Sport Management. With both of my degrees I can move
into the professional field of Sport Management. I plan to utilize my degrees to work with the Olympic Facilities and Olympic
Professionals across the nation.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Experience creating lengthy documents and
memos using Microsoft Word on a regular basis. I am comfortable arranging documents in Microsoft Word 97-2003 or the new Microsoft
Word 2007.
- Designing Powerpoint presentations with a
wide range of effects and designs are something I can do with ease.
- I have learned to construct excel
spreadsheets and charts. With my knowledge about Excel I can now input and sort data, and with the data I can run financial,
logical, and statistical functions to analyze and get a clearer understanding of the data I am working with.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES:
- Alongside some of my peers, I helped to oversee
the Race Day Registration for the Susan G. Komen Race for Cure on UTC’s campus on September 27, 2009.
- Managed one of the floor entrances for the
TSSAA State Wrestling Tournament that was held at UTC’s McKenzie Arena in the Spring of 2009.
- Led a group of my peers and several middle
school students as the captain of a water stop for the annual Chickamauga Chase during the Spring of 2009.
- Assisted the nurses in the recovery room at
the Birmingham VA Hospital as a youth intern during the summer of 2004.
